An ideal resource for contributing towards children's phonics learning. Supports children's writing and reading, communication and language, and literacy skills.  Children are able to practise their fluency and accuracy in reading these words through the use of flashcards. These flashcards can also support children's spelling practise.

A collection of 'tricky' words to support children's reading. These words are considered tricky as children cannot phonetically decode them, they have to be learnt by sight. The words included in this pack are from Phase 2, Phase 3, Phase 4 and Phase 5 phonics. 

Tricky words may also be referred to as Red Words or Common Exception Words.

Each flashcard has the sound written at the top, three examples of this being used in a word with matching picture, and the word written underneath with phonic sound highlighted. 

Attached with a plastic keyring.
